We Created the Soundtrack for King's Valley 3

King’s Valley is a video game published by Konami in 1985 for MSX computers. Like most of the classics from this Japanese developer, it was an excellent arcade-themed video game filled with numerous puzzles and riddles, all set within platformer mechanics in the twisted Egyptian pyramids.

The developer Vikalb Programming S.L., under its Demon Videogames label—responsible for modern classics like Operation Pig and Sky Jaguar 2—is working on the third installment of the saga, King’s Valley 3. Initially intended for MSX VR users, the game will feature, like the aforementioned titles, a spectacular chiptune soundtrack composed in our studio under the direction of José Manuel Fernández “Spidey”. All tracks have been created using the PSG chip found in MSX standard computers, along with the SCC chip that Konami included in some of its cartridges to enhance the sound capabilities of its video games.

Let’s remember that “Spidey” conducts a fantastic chiptune music composition workshop, which has available spots this March. You can sign up and attend the course online, enabling you to compose chiptune melodies even if you don’t know how to read sheet music.
